Daniel Alexis Garcia is a San Francisco based designer who has an innate understanding of materiality and interest in fabrication shaped by a childhood spent experimenting and working in his family's sheet metal shop. His sculptural installations and functional objects often employ a range of computational design strategies in tandem with analog and digital fabrication methods to manipulate common materials in atypical ways. Along with earning his Bachelor of Architecture from California College of the Arts in 2006, Daniel has over 17 years of fabrication experience integrating design, objects, and architecture in ways that are playful and formally rigorous.
